| Robert A. Dacey Gallery One 1993 to 2004 "The Monuments of Boulder County's Mining and Agricultural Past." From 1993 to 2004, the powerful spirit of Boulder County's mining and agricultural past was captured in a series of pencil drawings, watercolor paintings, and mixed-media renderings by Robert Dacey. Each portrayal of specific mountain mining sites, and eastern plains agricultural sites and structures, recalls a fading era in Colorado's history. Working from sketches and photos, the artist creates a memorable record of sites and structures that have vanished, or are vanishing, from Boulder County's mountain and plains landscape. These sites and structures are true, unintentional, monuments of the region's mining and agricultural past. 50 drawings, watercolor paintings, and mixed-media renderings are included in this ten-year body of work. As of December, 2006, 29 individual works have been purchased by individuals, businesses, regional government offices, and collectors. From September 21, 2002, to January 5, 2003, selected works were featured in a one-man exhibition at the Longmont, Colorado, Museum and Cultural Center.
