| The Art of Drawing must be seen and demonstrated, not just discussed. The general public, along with aspiring visual artists, must be exposed to the evidence of what The Art of Drawing entails in terms of original talent, the individual process of perceptive seeing and creative thinking, and the hard work required to learn and master the various drawing mediums. I've chosen to collect, archive, and present over fifty years of my efforts in drawing, painting, graphics, and mixed-media renderings. The tools of technology are not employed to create and produce individual and original examples of The Art of Drawing. Technology is used only to reproduce the individual works. I've chosen to collect, archive, and present these reproductions because if I don't do it, chances are no one else will undertake such an effort (at least in my lifetime). The Art of Drawing is a subject to be taken seriously. It must not be merely another commodity in the pop-culture marketplace. Robert A. Dacey January, 2011 |

| Media Highlights During the past 15 years, Robert Dacey's work has been featured in a variety of local, regional, and national publications. He was interviewed, and his work was reproduced, in the September 29, 1996 issue of The Longmont Daily Times-Call. The Boulder Daily Camera published an interview, with reproductions of selected works, in the June 27, 2000 issue. He was the subject of a lengthy interview, accompanied by reproductions of selected works, in the July/August 2003 issue of In Motion magazine, a publication of the National Limb Loss Information Center. Reproductions of a selection of his "Monuments" works, along with his writing about each selected subject, appeared in the award-winning Budget 2000 publication produced by Boulder County. He was the subject of a December 12, 2002, Colorado Public Radio interview, highlighting his "The Monuments of Boulder County's Mining and Agricultural Past" exhibit at the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center. Earlier in his career, selected works have appeared in The Denver Post, Communication Arts magazine, and various art director's club annual publications. |

| Exhibition Highlights In addition to the exhibition of the "Monuments" series at the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center, Robert Dacey's works have been exhibited at various venues in Niwot and Longmont, Colorado. Gallery 730 (now closed) in the Prospect urban village development in Longmont featured his works on a regular and ongoing basis. From May to November, 2010, and during 2011, his drawings and paintings were exhibited at the LongmontUnited Hospital Art Walk gallery. These works spanned a period from 1953 to 2010, and included original watercolors and mixed media renderings. The exhibits and an interview with the artist were featured in mid-November issues of The Longmont Ledger, The Boulder Daily Camera, and The Longmont Times-Call. Robert Dacey is exclusviely represented by the Manifest Art Gallery in Niwot, Colorado. |
